Dear Friends,
I am officially announcing my candidacy for Mayor of Santa Ana. This decision is one that I have considered very thoroughly. I am seeking the position of Mayor because Santa Ana deserves a Mayor who will work for all of you. I believe in Santa Ana ; more importantly, I believe that together we can achieve the many accomplishments that our city deserves.
As you are aware, I was elected to the city council in November of 2006. In my role as councilmember, I have earned a good reputation for addressing the concerns of all my constituents. I worked hard to earn my constituents’ trust and respect, and I will continue to do so as Mayor.
I pledge to create a new, positive city hall, where everyone feels respected and they can obtain the services they request. Together we can improve the quality of life for Santa Ana . This job is not for one person: it is a community effort. Therefore, I need your help to accomplish my vision of Santa Ana : to build a positive reputation that Santa Ana residents have yearned for.
I respectfully ask for your support and guidance to become Santa Ana ’s next Mayor.
I want to be the voice, hope, and inspiration for all the residents that have been left behind.
I would like to leave you with the following quote from Margaret Meade, “A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” So, let us work together towards a brighter future. And with your help, I believe that Santa Ana ’s best days are yet to come.
